The trees go on as far as the eye can see, along both sides of a canal with its grassy embankments. Just beyond the blossoming trees is a glimpse of the bustling city. Unique Hasui scene exuding the festivity of cherry blossom viewing. Signed - Kawase Hasui with red artist's seal "sui" Sealed - Publisher Watanabe, 7mm seal, later edition original, from original blocks Image size - 9 1/2" x 14 3/8" (oban tate-e) Condition - Excellent, no toning, tears, not mounted, full margins |
