Here is a wonderfuL vintage and guaranteed authentic Shin Hanga period Japanese woodblock print in excellent condition exhibiting only one tiny pinhole on LH margin and only very minimal wear along corner edge. The print has two sets of Japanese characters on the LH side margin (see images) which I am guessing is the date and possible publisher and is also signed and having a red seal on the RH bottom edge of woodblock (see images). The woodblock is on washi paper exhibiting EXCELLENT colors and appears to have never been framed or mounted for there are no signs of any tape or adhesive remnants on the back. The actual print image measures 9-3/4" x 14-1/2" and with margins measures approxmaately 11" x 16". The backside exhibits the normal color bleed and I would estimate the woodblock dates from the 1920~1930's. I have no idea who the artist is but I am sure someone will be able to make it out (see images). I just recently aquired this piece inside a foilo of misc. prints with this being the only woodblock.
