Notes (1st edition)Artist seal and signature at lower left of image area. Titled and dated in the lower left margin. Publisher seals in the lower right margin: Doi Sadaichi, with Yokoi as printer and Kataoka as carver. No post-war later editions are known to exist, and even pre-war strikes are extremely rare, so there is little doubt that only one edition was published by Doi Sadaichi, with another edition published via Iida Kunitaro.

Very Rare and Fine Woodblock Print by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957):

Japan, 36.2cm x 24cm, Oban yoko-e (image only), 39.3cm x 26.3cm margins included.

This original print published by Doi Teiichi is a very fine and rare

with pre-war printed first edition.

Title; Oshima Habu no Minato (Habu port in Oshima) on the middle left margin,

Date; dated in Showa 12/7 (July 1937) on lower left margin (first edition),

Signature; signed Hasui and red seal on lower left,

Publisher; published by Doi Teiichi “A” seal and printed by Yokoi on lower right margin,

Condition; it is in excellent condition with strong color, impression, full margins.
