| Notes (this edition) These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.: | Friday, 11 April 2008 Rare Kaoru Kawano Japanese Woodblock Print, Pencil Signed Lifetime Strike- Hagoromo Have not been able to find an image of this print anywhere, but is of similar subject matter as his Hagoromo prints of the 1950-60's. Very good condition with no visible damage. Unfortunately, the print has been cut and is attached to the back of the matting. Image is in pristine condition. Woodgrain is visible and strong. Chuban sized. Pencil signed on lower right. Signed within the print on bottom left. Image measures 6.75" x just over 3.5". 12.75" x 8.75" framed. Metal frame. Triple matted. Glass is missing. |
Thursday, 13 December 2007 Thanks for your time. This auction is for a Christmas card woodblock print, pencil signed by KAWANO, Kaoru (1916-1965) with an impressed seal. Frame approx. 12.75" X 8.75", sight size approx. 7.25" X 4", unfolded approx. 7.25" X 8". The large file pictures are considered part of the description, and they provide a good condition report. |
