You are bidding on a very beautiful and rare Japanese woodblock print “Watermill in Autumn” signed by the famous Showa Shin-Hanga woodblock print master Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1991) made in Showa Era IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. The artist’s chop mark is at the lower right corner of the print. Four borders are intact. The title of the print in Kanji and the Kasamatsu’s English signature are in the bottom border. The size of this woodblock print is 11 1/4 x 8 1/4 inches. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the print’s Japanese mulberry Washi paper. All four borders are intact. As far as I can tell there are no defects, foxing, or stains, this woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
