KAWASE HASUI-Rare Double Oban-Mt. Fuji From Yoshida '44

This rare, double oban print by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957) titled Mount Fuji from Yoshida was created in 1944. The number of examples in the edition unknown.



Signature & Seals:

Hasui signature, Kawase seal lower right.

Watanabe "I" seal lower left.

Dimensions:

Image: 18 1/2" x 13 1/4"

Sheet: 19 3/4" x 14 1/2"

An unusually large sized print for Hasui and the only one produced in 1944.



Condition:

Some slight fading from original mat just inside image. Remnants of hinging tape at the four corners, center top and bottom and center sides.

Large size, original works by Hasui are scarce.
