The artworks displayed on JAODB are not for sale

Notes (1st edition)Of the two versions, this is the first/earliest, with dating in the right margin. There are two versions of this scene (blue, and grey background). The first edition has the blue background and includes either carver and dating information in Japanese in the margins, or "First printed in 1949" in the bottom margin. Version 2 was printed from 1950 and has a grey background. Somewhat surprisingly, it can also carry a "first edition" seal in Japanese (referring to this colour variant I guess).
