Notes (1st edition)Saturday, 4 June 2005 SIZE OF THIS WATERCOLOR IS 21.5 ACROSS BY 17.5 MEASURED FROM FRAME TO FRAME. NOTE PAINTING HAS A MINOR TEAR IN UPPER LEFT HAND SIDE. TEAR IS APROX. 1/2 INCH LONG ALSO THERE IS A LITTLE DISCOLORING AT TOP AND MINOR FOXING.

Hiroshi Yoshida (Japanese, 1876-1950), "Village Street Scene", c. 1918; watercolor/paper, 10" x 14.5", signed. Yoshida was most famous for his woodblock prints he made after 1920, but these early original works in watercolor are rare and exceptional.
