An original Kawase Hasui woodblock print from the pre earthquake period. The image is 9 1/2" by 14 1/4" printed on a 10 1/4" by 15 1/4" paper that is adhered at one corner(upper right) to a piece of mat board(?) that is about 18 3/4" by 25 1/2" and is matted with a similar piece of mat board. This is not archival and would need certainly to be replaced. The mat and board are worn at the corners and discolored. Some of the matboard is missing. The print seems bright and undamaged save for a very small tear and subsequent missing paper on the rightside at the very bottom…I believe the marks on this print to be true and accurate. In addition to the printed marks, the number 80 is in pencil on both the mat and the mat board. The matting is adhered to the left side of the mat board.
