Artist Nobukazu Title Portrait of the Royal Family Date September 1912 Publisher Takegawa Unokichi Format Oban triptych (29" X 14 1/2") Comment Burnishing, metallic pigment. Crown Prince Yoshihito (Emperor Taisho) and his wife and children pose with Emperor Meiji and Empress Haruko. This is probably a commemorative family portrait since Meiji died in July of 1912 and this is dated first year of Taisho, the new era name. |
