Crown Prince Yoshihito (Emperor Taisho) and his wife and children pose with Emperor Meiji and Empress Haruko. This is probably a commemorative family portrait since Meiji died in July of 1912 and this is dated first year of Taisho, the new era name. |

Technique: Woodblock print Width Item: 10.0 inches = 25.5 cm Height Item: 14.6 inches = 37.0 cm Impression: Very good. Colors: Very good ... Silver colored metallic pigment. Burnished. Description "Nihon Juho no Zu". Crown prince Yoshihito (Emperor Taisho), his wife and children are visiting Emperor Meiji and Empress Haruko. This is probably a commemorative family portrait since Emperor Meiji died in July, 1912. This print was produced in September 1912. Oban triptych. Size of one sheet:255 x 370 mm. |
