A bird's eye view of a wintry landscape in heavy snow fall, in a variety of blue and gray tones, with tiny highlight of lit windows and their warm gold glow and a single person walking through the snow.

Good bleed-through. Good condition without tears or rips. Top left corner torn, although not affecting the image. Please look closely at the pictures and feel free to email any questions.

Signature Hasui, Seal Kawase (most likely pre-earthquake)

Measurements: Image 14 1/4 x 9 1/2 inches, paper 15 1/2 x 10 1/4 inches.

This is beautiful Japanese wood block print by Hawase Hasui 1883-1957. Souvenirs of travels second series nishimigawa hill on sado island. (tabimiyage no 2 sado nishimigawazaka) singned Hasui with red diamond shaped artist's seal published by watanabe in Decenber 1921. Size 15.3/16 X 10.2/8 39cm X 26 cm. Condition top edge had laid docunto mat (glued on mat look at my photo) also old collecter red stamp to the left. Remnants of two hinges on top verso edge(look at my photo) otherwise very good color and impression.
