Carp in Pond by Hiroshi Yoshida

This is a wonderful Japanese Woodblock Print by Hiroshi Yoshida. It is signed by the artist. It depicts a mother and her two children watching carp swimming in a pond. The colors are vibrant. It is a print I had not seen before I found it at an auction. I was told it dates from the 1930's. Unfortunately it has been affixed to a cardboard backing. I am afraid to try and remove it but perhaps a professional could do it. Otherwise it is in very good condition. It measures 16 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches.
