Notes (this edition) These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.: | Up for sale from a recent estate in Honolulu Hawaii this 1935 Japanese color woodblock print that is titled Queen of the Night” and is signed in pencil in roman script Y. Urushibara (Urushibara Mokuchu 1888-1953) and in Japanese Mokuchu, sealed Urushibara, published by Shijunshoby. When I found this print it was quiet dirty and showed foxing stains and some water spots on one side. Although it is printed on rice paper the conserver was able to gas it (kill the mold) and clean it throughout. The right side of the print is a bit more wavy from the old water spots but I guarantee that when framed the print will look as good as new.
