Note: we were unable to find this print on the internet. As such, perhaps it is a difficult image to acquire for Shiro Kasamatsu collectors.
Condition: Standard Unsodo printing "smudge" above middle right margin and bottom right corner margin. Tape residue on reverse center top margin (3 1/4" x 3/8"). Adhesive residue on reverse top right and bottom right corners. Please inspect all photographs as they are part of item's condition.
Nice color. Strong impression, woodgrain, and bleedthrough. Evocative imagery with tight color registration within key lines. No holes or tears show on the print.

Hakone Kiga Fukin (Kiga Neighborhood at Hakone) by Shiro Kasamatsu. Original Japanese woodblock print dated Showa 28 (1953). Fine color, condition and impression. A couple little spots in margin. Print has never been framed and retains original colors. Very nice woodgrain in sky. Oban size measures 15.5 x 10.4 inches. Title, Unsodo publisher' seal, Shinmi printer's seal, Nagashima carver's seal and date in left margin. Shiro characters and red seal in lower left of image. Strong texture and ink bleedthrough on fine washi. Rare. |
