Notes (1st edition)???? ????? ??? ????????? ???(??:cm)??16×24. Dating of this chuban series (note from Ross Walker): a note included with a set I purchased includes the date of 1974. This chuban series actually included 10 prints: the 8 Hasui scenes as well as two bijin-ga scenes by Yamakawa Shuho (chuban-sized versions of two of his oban-sized pre-war prints). Cape of Muroto


This Print, Cape of Muroto- Fantastic, simple Hasui image and natural scene at the water’s edge void of people. The rocky Japanese shore, rolling water of the ocean and clouds on the horizon. Fantastic Hasui image.

Signed- Kawase Hasui with yellow or red artist’s seal as shown
Titled- In Japanese in margin as shown.
Image size- 10 3/4” x 7 3/4”
Condition- In excellent condition overall as shown with no holes, tears, damage, repairs or other issues to report. Beautiful rich color, not faded. Excellent detail. A lovely print for the discerning collector. With some spotting in upper and lower margin as shown. Does not effect the subject, otherwise excellent.
