Friday, 23 September 2005 Karuta – playing cards From the series: Twelve Months of Japanese Women - February Artist: Chiyuki Onuma Signed: Chiyuki ga Publication date: 1958 (Showa 33) Size: 28 x 42.5 cm (11” x 16.7”) Condition: Very good colours, impression, and condition: silver used in the pattern behind the woman’s head – two small thin spots in the left-hand margin, obviously the result of this print being removed from its original folder; these thin spots are invisible from the front. The print is very slightly toned, but much less than visible in the scan. |
