You are bidding on an EXTRA LARGE, very beautiful, and special original Japanese woodblock print “Bijin-ga” signed by the famous Taisho/Showa woodblock print master Shinsui Ito (1898-1974), bearing UNSODO PUBLISHER’S WATERMAK published by the famous print maker UNSODO made in Showa Era. The artist’s signature and his chop mark are at the upper right corner of the print. The Unsodo printmaker’s WATERMAK is at the lower right border of the print. The size of this original woodblock print is about 21 ½ x 15 ½ inches, which is much larger than the traditional Shin Hanga print. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Mulberry paper. Four borders are intact. |
