Beautiful Signed Hasui Old Japanese Woodblock Print

I do not know anything about these. The print appears to be from the 20's the lady I bought from was 98. It measures approx. 16" wide x 12 3/4" long. There are no rips just might need a cleaning you be the judge.

Later

Hasui Kawase, 1922 first print and only run of this print. The original painting and woodblock plates were destroyed in the devastating Japan earthquake of 1923! That earthquake destroyed not only this but most of Hasui's work to that time period. Since the original painting and plates were destroyed this print has never been reprinted since it's original run back in 1922.
This print comes with it's original presentation folder. But because this print is in it's original folder the art work should be restored at some point. The colors are still strong in this print. The print has the proper Hasui signature stamp, dating stamp from Watanabe (the publisher), and stamp on the reverse side of the print. This is truly a rare publisher's dated FIRST EDITION. Rarely seen. There is a slight reserve, but a reserve that takes all these factors into consideration: how scarce this print is, the condition of the print and that there will be some cost to restore.
