The Meiji empress and her entourage is visiting a field hospital.

Size: ﾔban-Triptych, 35,5 x 71,5 cm.

Very nice luxury imprint in fresh and bright colours, with relief printing. Originally fixed together, not mounted. The middle sheet is inscribed by hand at lower margin. At all very good condition. Very nice picture with an unusual scene from the Chinese-Japanese War 1894/95. Rare. See picture in Meech-Pekarik, The World of the Meiji Print, pp 211.
