2 KAORU KAWANO LIMITED EDITION PRINTS SACRED LAKE SACRED CRANE

* DESCRIPTION: Two Kaoru Kawano Prints. Sacred Crane and Sacred Lake, Limited Edition, Framed.

* CONDITION: Good condition. Frames are good, though there are some scuffs and scratches. Matting on both prints do have marks/smudges and dents and scratches. Prints themselves are good, though border does have spotting as can bee seen in the photos. Small gouge on the border, and crease near the top of the head on Sacred Lake.


* DIMENSIONS: Frame is 32.75 inches tall, 15 inches wide, and 1 inch deep.


* MAKE/MODEL: Kaoru Kawano Limited Edition Prints. Sacred Crane 85/200. Sacred Lake 119/200.

Doggles		 This is an original framed print by the Japanese artist Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965) who has earned an outstanding reputation for his woodblock prints.
The name of this piece is titled "Sacred Lake".
Dates from the 1950's and is signed by the artist on the lower edge in pencil.
This is a rare limited numbered edition and is number 147 of 200.
The print is in a high quality wood-backed frame with glare reducing glass, gray cloth border and gold color accents. The frame is about 3/4" thick.
This print is from my personal collection, and has been stored safely for many years. It was removed from the frame for photos and inspection only.
Print measures about 23"x10" unframed and 30"x16.5" with frame.
Condition is very good on both the print and frame, bold colors with chop-mark.		 Kauru Kawano woodblock,

limited 1st ed, 24 x 12 in.
Modernist Sosaku hanga print.
Self printed, self carved,
121/200, pencil signed.
