Original Ito Shinsui (1898 - 1972) Japanese Woodblock Print
A Theatrical Dance Entitled Dojoji, 1932

Image Size - 23 1/4" x 9 3/4"
Condition - With excellent color and detail. Some creasing and toning at edges. Backed with old paper. A few small holes or tears repaired from reverse. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
This is an Original Ito Shinsui Woodblock print that has been applied to a Japanese government railway poster. At the lower margin of the poster it states " A Theatrical Dance entitled " Dojoji," Artist -- Ito Shinsui, Wood- cut Printing by S. Watanabe, Tokyo. The print is actually glued to the poster and has a clear laminated sheet over it. The poster is glued to a foam canvas and it will shipped this way. It is in good overall condition, it does have some creases on the poster but not the actual print itself. The measurements are :
