This is a delightful original color woodblock by Japanese master,Ohara Shoson. It is of two Herons feeding in the marshes. It is signed by Shoson and also shows the Watanabe printer seal. This woodblock is tipped to a thicker card stock at the upper edge. The color is very nice and the white wings have embossing to the feathers. There is good bleedthrough from the inking visible from the back, the sheet is in good condition,no holes or stains. The image measures 9 3/4X6 3/4". We believe this to be a period print not a later restrike!
