Kuroi neko - Black cat, from the series Rajo jusshu - Ten types of female nudes, first published by Ryoku-usô Gashitsu in 1935. Paper size: 37.5 x 48 cm.
This is a trial impression, so made in 1935 and printed on "Ishikawa Toraji" watermarked paper. Unsigned.
Interestingly the girl's eyes seem almost closed.



Fine impression and colours, good condition: some soiling on the bottom margin (left) and a small punch hole in the margin bottom right.

Printed on "Ishikawa Toraji" watermarked paper. Brush signed top right with (faint) artist's seal. In other copies the signature is also found bottom right, and top left.
