These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.: 		From the series Showa Butai Sugata (?????) - (Figures of the modern stage in their most famous roles), #5: Matsumoto Koshiro VII as Benkei in the play Kanjincho, performed in 1946. This design printed in 1952.
Paper size: 27.5 x 40.8 cm.

Fine impression and colours, very good condition: two drying holes (left) and a vertical fold in the left margin as well: the folder for prints from this series was too small, so either one of the margins was trimmed or folded to make the print fit into the folder.

Condition very good … light toning, the upper and the left margins lightly creased, a vertical crease on the left margin.
Description "Showa Butai Sugata" No. 5. Matsumoto Koshiro IV is in the role of Benkei. Masamitsu's actor portraits were famous for their great realism and the technical virtuosity of the woodblock printing.
