Complete pentaptych. - Rare, particularly in such nice condition. Ref. No.: # 575002 Price: € 3,950.00 This festive procession of a noble family and its 'court' consists - with one exception - of female participants only, even the palanquin bearers are women. The group is beautifully set against the impressive Mt. Fuji and its foothills in the background. This design probably is a 'mitate' (often facetious depictions featuring pastiche, allusion or parody) of a daimyo's procession. |

Three sheets from what was originally a pentatych. Rare. Publisher: Wakasaya Yoichi Date: c. 1790 Condition: Full size with margins. Lightly toned overall. Mat-burned at edges. Areas of wear and small areas of thinning. Small damages and repairs. Minor stains marks and flaws. Moderate state. Colour: Rather faded Impression: Fine impressions with gauffrage |
