Comment Kinjiro was a relative of Watanabe who published this, and a few other designs by Shiro, without Watanabe's permission. Watanabe was very angry and confiscated the prints, making this design rare.

Pine Trees at Ogo Village Northern Shinshu by Shiro Kasamatsu. Original woodblock print dated Showa 25 (1950) in left margin. Fine color, condition and impression. Never been framed. Exceedingly rare. Published by Kinjiro. Title and date in left margin. Shiro characters and red seal in lower right of image. Nice texture and ink bleedthrough.
