Monday, 4 September 2006 Dear Dr Walker I was browsing through your lovely Ohmi gallery site and came across a very familiar kuchi-e by Gekko. I thought you might like to know that yes it is from the Bungei Kurabu (Literary Club) Magazine the precise detail being #16 from December 1st, 1912. I have a copy of this magazine with this particular kuchi in situ. I do not know if kuchi were 'recycled' by magazines so am not sure if it was used prior to this date.
