Woodblock print by Kaoru Kawano titled 'Sacred Crane'. Limited edition #118 of 200. Dimensions are 23.6" x 12". Fine and large Japanese woodblock print on a fibrous white wove paper by Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965). Very nicely printed with silvery ink used for the body areas of the cranes (with two blocks; one for the stripes and one for the spots). Numbered, titled, and signed in pencil beneath the image: 33/200 [Japanese characters] SACRED CRANE (E) KAORU KAWANO. It is glued to a white stiff mat board.

DIMENSIONS: Image 22.375 x 9.5 inches; sheet size 23.875 x 11.75 inches; backing mat 24.5 x 11.75 inches.

CONDITION: Good; glued to a backing mat; smudge in margin (only) at lower left, appears ever so slightly light stained (see pictures) but only discernable in the margins.
