We are offering a fine & quite unusual old Japanese wood block print. We purchased this unusual old oriental piece (along with some others) from an estate sale in Fort Knox Kentucky. An officer while stationed in Japan in the early 1950s acquired them as a gift from a Japanese family. This small format was popular after the war because they were easily transported. It is signed but I do not know the artist (done in the style of Shotei ). The detail is excellent & would be great framed & matted. The condition is good with bleed through on the back side. It is tipped to a sheet of cardboard. The image size is 2 ½” by 3 ¾”. Takemura? Asano Takeji?
