Offered for sale is a Japanese woodblock print by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957), titled Wakanoura, c. 1930s. It is from the estate of Robert O. Muller, the world renown collector and dealer of shin hanga school prints. It is illustrated at plate Hb-63 of Kawase Hasui: The Complete Woodblock Prints by Kendall H. Brown. It was published by The Watanabe Color Print Co.

The print is in very good condition, with no condition problems to note. The dimensions are approximately 3 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches, plus margins.

This is an original Japanese woodblock print (hanga) entitled "Wakanoura", by the artist, Kawase Hasui(1883 - 1957). Sealed by Hasui. The condition is Pristine.

Paper size: 3 7/8" X 5 3/4




Kawase Hasui was named "Living National Treasure" in 1956.
Rare early Kawase Hasui postcard-sized ukiyo-e woodblock print. This print is titled "Kiyomizu in Snow" and is signed/stamped at corner. Printed in Japan and presumed to be from the 1930's. Print measures 4 X 6 inches.

Condition: Good antique condition. Lightly worn edges and corners. Light wrinkles.
