These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.: 		Woodcut KAORU KAWANO, signed in pencil JAPAN 1916-65

the piece I am selling is from a Estate in Woodstock, NY.
The bottom picture shows the back of the woodcut and the name of the gallery where the piece was first purchased.
The artist signature is in pencil on the lower right. May be hard to see agianst the black background. It has a red stamp and measures 11" x 16.5". It is in very good condition.

THIS IS A WONDERFUL ORIGINAL PENCIL SIGNED WOODBLOCK PRINT BY KAORU KAWANO. IT IS IN MINT CONDITION. ALL MARGINS ARE INTACT. THE PAPER IS NOT GLUED DOWN TO A BACKING. THE COLORS ARE RICH, NOT AT ALL FADED. FULL SIZE IS 16 1/4" BY 11".

A Japanese woodblock print by Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965) of water lilies. Framed under glass. Size is 14 1/2"x 19 1/4". Has not been examined out of the frame, but looks good. Signed in pencil in English and Japanese block.
