Hello again Ross,

Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you - I had a lot of trouble transferring images from my camera to the computer but all appears to be well now.

Anyway, the print appears to be one of those "posthumous" ones with no signature and the red stamp. It is one of three that we bought in a Singapore gallery back in 1982 and they all have pride-of-place in our home. Probably of the three, this would be my favourite.

Sorry, forgot to give you the dimensions. The printed image is 250 x 380mm.

I hope that it is of some interest to you.

Best regards,
Brad Jones

Up for bid is a woodblock by Kaoru Kawano. Image size is 14 3/4" X 9 3/4" (sheet 17' X 11 1/4" ). Image colors, condition and bleed through are excellent. Very light toning on margins. Thin line of tape residue on upper back edge of print and a small stain speck (back edge only). Signed by the artist with seal lower right. A very beautiful woodblock by Kawano, ranking as one of his best!

Hi about 8 years ago I picked up the following kawano print for free at a yard sale.

I was wondering if you had any info in it regarding the name of the print or any other pertainant info?

The back of the frame has a sticker that says woodblock buy kaoru kawano. Another sticker says Giama's art gallery Honolulu hawaii.

Thank you

The image is behind a frame, I do not think there is a pencil signature on
it. Margins are not visible due to frame. There is a red stamp on the right
side. The viewable area I can se is roughly 9 x 14. Feel free to add the
picture to the database.
