Lake Kugushi, Wakasa – from the series: Souvenirs of travel, first series (Tabi miyage dai isshû, Wakasa Kugushiko)
Publication date: early autumn 1920
Size: 38.6 x 25.8 cm. (15.2” x 10.1”)
Condition: Fine impression, colours and condition. The scans give a very good idea of the condition of this very rare print. Especially remarkable in this print is the very subtle dark pink of the road, the careful bokashi (shading) in the sky, the mountains and the water, and the very noticeable whorls of the baren especially visible in the blue mountains in the distance. The white of the house forms a very striking contrast.
