Condition good … two horizontal folds as usual for kuchi-e, slightly creased, lightly soiled, worm track (1 inch long) on the right area, album backing.
Description A cow girl. A kuchi-e (book illustration) for a story published in Bungei Kurabu, Vol.19 # 1, a very popular literature magazine in Meiji - Showa era.

Description A girl with bucket and a brown cow. Japanese did not drink cow's milk before Meiji era. It is interesting to see the depiction of the new habit in the rural Japan.
