These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.:
Fine original woodblock print by well known 20th century Japanese artist Kaoru Kawano, titled 'Forlorn'. Image size is approximately 22 1/2 x 15 inches (sight) and overall framed size is 30 1/2 x 23 inches. Print is numbered 17/100 and is pencil signed in the lower right margin, under mat. Print appears to be in near perfect condition, except for paper tape which is pasted on backside perimeter. There is no fading, toning, foxing, tears, stains, or any other damage. Has full margins - actual paper size is approximately 24 1/2 x 18 inches. Also retains Kawano's tag which reads "Self carved, self printed, Kaoru Kawano".

Condition very good … light toning, slightly soiled and creased on the margins, ink stains on the margins, tape residues on the back.

Description "Kaketa Buttoh" (FORLORN). Semi-abstract depiction of a broken piece of a head of Buddha statue and a lotus leaf.
Note A printed paper,"Self-printed, self-carved" and name, is attached on the back.
