Fabulous oban size woodblock print by Hodo Nishimura and published by Hideo Takemura and probably dating from the 1930s. The kacho-ga image of an elegant pigeon perched on a branch of a flowering cherry tree. The violet shades of the bird as well as the cherry blossoms colorations are breathtaking. The black background enlivens all those beautiful colors. Unframed, not trimmed. Very good condition. 16 x 10 3/4 inches.
