Condition: Fine color and bleed through, very good condition, some slight waves near the top of print. Absolutely no water damage to this print. I took these pictures outside and most of them show shadows, but there are not shadows or problems with the prints unless noted. May be a calendar print commissioned by Pacific Transport lines (edition of 500 copies), never been framed
This woodblock print is part of a hanging calendar / portfolio and each print is attached just at the top. The other paper shows yellowing around the edges but the print itself is in great condition. There are eleven other prints from this portfolio that I am listing individually. |
Bamboo Forest, Tama River from Pacific Transport Lines 1953 Calendar by Kawase Hasui. Original wooddblock print circa 1952. Fine color, condiition, and impression. Never been framed. Clean verso. Good ink bleedthrough. Oban size measures 10.2 x 15.2 inches. Edition limited to five hundred copies.
