BOUGHT AT AN ESTATE SALE WITH OTHER ASIAN ART ITEMS, THIS BLACK AND WHITE JAPANESE PRINT. IMAGE SPACE MEASURES 15 1/2 X 10. I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT. YOU WILL HAVE TO LOOK AT THE PICTURE TO SEE THE ARTIST. I AM ASSUMING IT IS A BLOCK PRINT (I COULD BE WRONG). I HAVE 2 OF THEM AND THEY ARE NOT ALIKE. IF THEY WERE PRINTED ON A PRESS THEY WOULD BE EXACTLY ALIKE. THESE LOOK THE SAME BUT THERE ARE SPOTS THAT ARE DIFFERENT (SPACING AND COLOR) YOU MUST REALLY LOOK TO FIND THESE DIFFERENCES. I DO NOT KNOW THE AGE (ANTIQUE???). THE ONLY THING I CAN TELL YOU IS THAT THE MAN, WHO THESE BELONG TO, TRAVELED IN JAPAN. I HAVE 2 PRINTS, SO THIS WILL BE A DUTCH AUCTION. YOU MAY BUY ONE OR 2 AT TWO X THE PRICE.

Hanmoto Tokyo-Do
Her is a Japanese woodblock by whom I know not, maybe someone out there does. Black and white. Nice quality, good paper with a watermark, a symbol in a circle if that helps. See photos. Chop marks lower right, other marks outside in margin left. Image size approx. "11.25 x "16.25. Good condition..
