Omoshiro-so: Bunsei nenkan okujochuno fuzoku - Looking amused: the appearance of a high-ranking maid in the Bunsei era (1818-1830)
From the series Fuzoku sanjuniso - Thirty-two aspects of women, published by Tsunashima Kamekichi in 1888.

Very good impression, colours and condition: blindprinting and a three-coloured cartouche.

Subject: A high-ranking maid in the Bunsei era (1818-1830). A lady with blackened teeth looking over a red-lacquered railing.

Publisher: Tsunashima Kamekichi

Date: 1888

Condition: Fine colors. Full size. Minor toning, marks and flaws. Generally fine state of preservation.

Impression: Fine first edition impression with gauffrage. Strong woodgrain visible in the background. Three color cartouche.

Subject: A high ranking maid in the Bunsei era(1818-30). A lady with the fashionably black lacquered teeth of a young married lady, looks over a red lacquered railing. She is holding a pouch with intricate silver chain decorations and pearl jewels on her Obi sash, which also contains a mirror, tissue paper and other necessities of a lady of breeding.

Condition: Full size. Album backing paper. Minor soils, foxing, marks and flaws. Generally very good state.

Colour: Fine colors.

Impression: Very good impression with gauffrage.

Subject: Fusoku Sanjuniso - The 32 Aspects of Women. A high-ranking maid in the Bunsei era - a bijin with fashionably lacquered teeth leaning on a red lacquer railing.

Date: 12.2.1888

Condition: Slightly trimmed. Retains Japanese album backing paper. Minor offsets at edges, marks and flaws. Generally quite good state.

Colour: Fine

Impression: Very good of 1st edition with 3-colour cartouche.
