Colors excellent - very good … burnishing
Condition very good … light toning, slightly soiled and wrinkled, discoloration along the top edge. Left Sheet: a vertical fold next to the left margin, a horizontal crease (3 inch long) on the upper right background. Middle Sheet: a worm track (1/2 inch long) on the right lower edge. Right Sheet: a vertical fold with tears along the left margin, two pin size worm holes on the lower left, a light crease on the middle figure's face.
Description Chiyoda no Oh-oku" (Ladies of Chiyoda Palace) Court ladies are marveling the gorgeous chrysanthemum garden full of different colors and shapes.

CONDITION: Vertical centre fold to left sheet with re-enforcing strip verso. Left sheet trimmed, minor marks and flaws but generally fair impression with fresh colour.
ARTIST: Chikanobu.
FORMAT: Oban, Triptych (14 by 29.5 ins)
SERIES: Chiyoda no O-Oku (Life of the female only chambers of the Palace.
DATE: 1895.
DESCRIPTION: Chrysanthemum picnic.

CONDITION: Vertical fold mark to right of left sheet, some areas of surface soiling, otherwise good impression, colour and condition.
