ARTIST: Chikanobu.
FORMAT: Oban, Triptych (14.5 by 28.5 ins).
DATE: ca.1896.
DESCRIPTION: Holy priest Shiga looking at an oxen cart carrying a court lady passing in front of him.
PUBLISHER: Unknown.
CONDITION: Minor areas of offset printing, a vertical fold mark of centre and right sheets.

Impression excellent - very good … embossed, strong wood grains visible

Condition very good … lightly trimmed, slightly soiled, (left sheet) lightly mottled toning, slight red transfer stains on the upper left, (middle s.) a long horizontal crease in the middle area, (right s.) red color ink specks on the lower left area
