Format Oban (10 3/4" X 15 3/4") 		Guaranteed orginal Japanese woodblock print by the shin hanga artist Kawase Hasui. Subject: Dahlia. Date: 1940 (undated). Print bears the publisher Watanabe "D" seal which indicates that this is an early/original impression and not a later lifetime or posthumous edition. Oban design measures 10.5" x 15.75". Excellent color, impression, condition. Tiny wrinkle (minor flaw to the paper - not a damage) in the left margin which does not effect the image). NOTE: Unusual subject for Hasui who almost exclusively designed landscapes.
