Triptych: The Palanquin

Artist: Chikanobu
Format: Oban triptych: each sheet: 14.75" x 10"

Subject: Three bijin ladies-in-waitib in a misty morning scene beside a palanquin decorated with the crests of the Tokugawa Shogunate.

Date: c. 1880's

Condition: Full size with margins. Some soils and small light stains. Minor marks and flaws. Generally very good state.

Colour: Fine colors.

Impression: Fine impressions with gauffrage and metallic pigments.
