Subject: Geisha looking at fireworks.

Woodblock has the Watanabe Publisher's Seal.
Also numbered on the back.

Plate size 16” by 10” approx.
Paper size: 17" by 10.75" approx

In excellent condition.
Margins shows a little bit of browning.

Unframed.

Very good colors.

Subject: A young bijin seated on a bamboo stool watching a firework exploding in the night sky above. From the second series of Modern Beauties. One of the artist's best designs.

Date: 1932

Condition: Full size. Signs of a previous matting on verso at top corners. A diagonal crease and other small crease marks. Slightly soiled. Generally moderately good state of preservation.

Impression: Fine with gauffrage
