Subject: From Toshikata's excellent series of Meiji beauties Sanju-roku Kasen. A kneeling lady of breeding, composing a poem card. Behind her an Acer Palmatum in its Autumnal colors.

Date: 1893

Condition: Full size with large margins. Japanese album backing paper. Some light wormage. Minor marks and flaws. Generally good state.

Subject: A lady poet sitting in the doorway of her house in the fall. Behind her the Fall colors of a Acer Palmatum (Japanese Maple)

Date: c. 1890

Condition: Fine colors. Signs of a previous matting on verso. Trimmed. Slight rubbing. Minor toning, soils, marks and flaws. Generally very good state.

Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage, metallic pigment and burnishing.
