Out of a recent estate liquidation is this TORU MABUCHI (1920-1994) Japanese woodblock print. The mat to which the print is attached shows that the name of the image is SHIRA KABA or WHITE BIRCH. It was created in 1960 and is copy number 31 of 50. The print measures approximately 24 x 18", including the border. We are offering this print in 'as found' condition. It came to us unframed but it appears that it was probably framed at one time. It is glue-tacked to the mat on the length of the upper edge of the border, otherwise it is not layed down. There is a tear in the border at the upper left corner that, fortunately, barely intrudes into the image area.

Striking, bold image. Colors are not faded.
