This is a beautiful woodblock print by noted shin hanga printmaker Kikuchi Keigetsu. Keigetsu's work can be seen in "The Female Image", the outstanding work on 20th century bijin-ga prints, although the print displayed in the book is not nearly as nice an image as this one. It is quite a large print, about double oban size, measuring about 20 x 14 or so plus margins. Sealed with red seal lower lefthand margin. There is extensive use of silver metallic pigment in the girl's kimono, and gold metallic pigment in the sleeve. The print is in good condition, with just some slight (very slight) creasing and faint soiling from handling. This makes it sound much worse than it is in person; it is actually quite lovely.
