You are bidding on an original Japanese woodblock print “Nude” signed by the Famous Taisho/Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print artist Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965). The print size is 16 1/2 x 11 inches. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. The artist’s signature and his chop mark are at the lower left corner of the print. Colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. This print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper. Four borders are intact. This print was kept in a frame for decades.
Wonderful woodblock by the great Japanese artist, Kaoru Kawano, 1916-1965. Very unusual subject for this artist - a nude girl arranging her hair, mostly in silhouette. Image size is 14 3/4" by 9" and total frame size is 21" by 17". Purchased framed by appears to be in perfect condition.
This is an vintage Japanese wood block /woodcut print by Kaoru Kawano. Paper size is 11.5"x17" Excellen condition! The only thing to note is tanning on backside top and bottom).
This Open Edition woodblock print "Twilight" by Kauru Kawano (1916-1965) was previously matted, however, it shows no signs of having been. The overall size of the print is 11"x 17", and the image size is 9"x 15".
