Subject: From the same series as the last lot. A seated girl patiently waits beside a futo for her young husband.

Date: c. 1900's

Condition: Fine colors. Full size. Paper slightly toned. Offsetting bottom right corner. Minor rubbing, soils, marks and flaws. Generally very good state of preservation.

Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage, lacquer and silver pigment.

Other Notes: An unidentified Japanese Collector's seal on verso. From the Robert O Muller Collection.

Impression excellent … cheese cloth patterns embossed on the draperies above.
Colors excellent … silver colored metallic pigment, shomenzuri patterns on the hair and obi.
Condition very good … slight soil mostly on the margins, a pin size hole on the left margin, green ink specks in the middle, not backed.
Description "Edo no Nishiki" (Edo Embroidery Pictures) A beauty is looking at the decorations for a festival.
