| Notes (this edition) These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.: | This beautiful 20th Century Japanese woodcut print is 1 out of a collection of 15 postcard prints by Kawase Hasui that I am currently offering on eBay. These beautiful prints are in pristine condition and look as though they have not seen the light of day since they were purchased! They were all published by Watanabe before 1936. All are approximately 4 x 6 inches and in excellent condition. They came out of a lovely Florida estate that had many other fine Japanese objects. | Up for auction is a beautiful Japanese woodblock print by Kawase Hasui. It depicts a town in snow with a solitary person crossing a river over a bridge. This is one of several postcard sized woodblock prints I will be posting by Hasui. All of them date to the 1930s. It measures roughly 3.75" by 5.65" including the margins. It is in great condition with some slight discoloration within the image along the edges from previous matting. |
